Data Field Description
Number of Blocks The value in this field specifies the number of logical blocks on the disk
to which the density code and block length fields apply. A value of 0 in
this field indicates that all of the remaining logical blocks on the disk
have the medium characteristics specified.
Density Code The Density Code field is unique for each device type. Direct access
devices value is zero.
Block Length The value in this field specifies the length in bytes of each logical block
described by the block descriptor.
