What are the ArchiveIQ for GoVault Manager and ViewStor

services?

ArchiveIQ™ is the technology name behind the GoVault data protection

software. The technology was developed in partnership with Data

Storage Group, Inc. The provided services integrate system monitoring

and data protection management functionality for the GoVault data

protection software user application.

The user interface works in conjunction with these services to provide

data protection for your system.

The ViewStor™ service provides a simplified interface to archived data

and allows you to use Windows Explorer to quickly find files and folders

for all saved points in time.

During installation, I see a message, “The ArchiveIQ

ViewStor service failed to start.”

The GoVault data protection software uses the Windows WebClient

service to display the files you back up through Windows Explorer. If the

WebClient service is not running, the software will display the message,

“The ArchiveIQ ViewStor service failed to start.” This is an informational

message only. The installation of the software will not be affected if the

WebClient service is not running. You can click
